Shoecraft of Otley
Timpson’s loss was Otley’s gain when former area manager Alec Hird left the national company and took over Shoecraft in 2004.
Alec modernised the more traditional shoe repair shop to now offer a wide range of services including shoe repairs, key cutting, engraving and trophies, watch batteries and straps, shoe care products, including laces, insoles and specialist cleaners, as well as walking sticks and engraveable merchandise.
The shop is now in its third location after being originally opened in 1987
