The Rainbow Care Group provides specialist dementia day care services across North and West Yorkshire and their Otley group meets on a Monday at Clifton Village Hall, Newall Carr Road, between 10am and 4pm.
The organisation’s vision is to change the way dementia care services are delivered in the UK and they are currently proud recipients of six national awards for Best Dementia Carers in the UK!
The modern venue at Clifton Village Hall is based in beautiful rural surroundings. From there individualised, person-centred care to people living with dementia is provided within their local community in a safe environment. While based at the hall, the group also enjoys some trips out..
Rainbow Care clubs promote independence and enable members to participate in social interaction and meaningful, purposeful activities. Their priority is to support those living with dementia to maintain the best quality of life and enable them to remain living at the place they call home.
Carefully planned days help reduce challenging behaviours and promote more settled restful evenings following.
Free aaster days are available for anyone interested in the service. A transport service can be provided for those members who require it.
