Rabbit Hole Coffee

Business of the Week, Cafés, pubs & restaurants

Rabbit Hole Coffee began in 2016 when friends Ste and Robbie decided to make coffee “without being pricks about it” — a straight-talking antidote to coffee snobbery.

They cut their teeth on pop-ups and events, then kept people fuelled through lockdown by teaming up with Pizza Loco in Oakwood. A long-running Harvey Nichols pop-up followed, and their first bricks-and-mortar shop opened on Stainburn Parade, Moortown, in July 2022.

With Robbie now back in Scotland, Ste brought the next Rabbit Hole chapter to Otley in September 2025, setting up shop in the former Little Corner of the World on Boroughgate. Otley is a town Ste knows well from childhood market-day trips with his grandfather, a butcher. The pull was Otley’s independent spirit; he was inspired by other thriving locals on Boroughgate, including Underground Bakery and Simon & Becky.

On the menu you’ll find carefully sourced beans (selected by Ste and roasted with specialist partner Cuppers Choice from Sheffield), classic espresso-based drinks, filter coffees, speciality teas, and a short line-up of bakes and light bites made by the team — including a family-favourite carrot cake — alongside contributions from the Otley crew.

If you like your coffee served with know-how and zero pretence, drop by and say hello.
