Mondo Coffee House & Kitchen
Stuart Spring followed his heart and gave up a life of managing cafes, bars and restaurants in his native London to move to Otley in 2007. He’s since started a family here and worked for a number of years for high-end coffee-and-cake chain Filmore & Union, most lately in their branch in Wetherby.
He now goes it alone having taken over what was Otta’s Leah, turning it into the latest high-end brasserie-style cafe to hit Otley: Mondo. The airy cafe serves all manner of speciality goodies and coffees, as well as light options, while there are plans to venture into evening trading in the future.
The cafe also has a friendly spot for young families upstairs with sofas and a small area for toddlers to play with a toy kitchen.
