Joy's Coffee House
There was much gashing of teeth among the lower Wharfedale canine community when dog-friendly cafe Salami & Co closed its doors in mid 2021… they were though thrown a massive bone when Joy’s took over the premises and kept the pooch parlour theme going a few months later.
A real family affair, the cafe is owned by twins Ryan and Wayne Joy and their wives Helen and Gemma (alongside the little ones Harvey and Edgeigh) who also own another cafe in Kirkburton.
The concept of Joys is to provide quality breakfast brunch and lunch at affordable prices for the whole family including doggies (including a doggie afternoon tea) as well as a Little Joys menu which offers a number of options for children.
Around the cafe, visitors can also pick up some special gifts from Joys@Home, a homeware brand that Helen and Gemma run together.
Coffee comes from the fabulous Yorkshire-based Darkwoods and is served alongside a selection of great home-baked cakes. Afternoon tea is also available with 24 hours notice.
