Fusion Exchange & Repair
Business of the Week, Furniture & homeware, Gifts & galleries, Other services, Toys, games & kids
When Anwar Ghani — known to most as Arnold or simply Arni — first opened Fusion Exchange & Repair in 2009, it was Otley’s go-to spot for gamers. Back then, the shelves were stacked with physical discs and cartridges and the town’s younger crowd popped in regularly to buy, sell, or trade their favourites.
Fast forward a decade and a half, and the gaming world has shifted online. But rather than fade away with the rise of digital downloads, Fusion has evolved. These days, Arni and long-time colleague Connor Armstrong have steered the business into new territory — a bit of a tech generalist hub for Otley.
Still located on Market Street, Fusion now offers a broader mix: repairs for mobile phones, laptops, PCs and consoles; a selection of tech accessories and peripherals; and a shopfront that stocks everything from vapes and American sweets to the occasional batch of laminate flooring and carpets. It’s part tech shop, part Aladdin’s cave — the kind of place you wander into for a new phone case and leave with a sherbet stick and your Xbox fixed.
The repair side of the business is very much the core these days. Whether it’s a cracked phone screen, a slow laptop, or a PlayStation with a mind of its own, Fusion promises quick turnaround times — often same-day — and a direct, no-fuss approach.
