Salon Cabello owner Charlotte Newsham originally wanted to work in the entertainment industry attending music college after school, but soon decided her skills were better suited to hairdressing.
The pop world’s loss was a huge gain for the women (and sometimes men) of Otley and its surrounds as she worked trained at worked at Vidal Sassoon in Leeds before opening from a chair in a Guiseley salon for 11 years.
That long grounding in the history saw her fulfil her dream of opening her own salon on Manor Square in 2021 and Cabello (which means “hair” in Spanish) has gone from strength to strength as award-winning Charlotte has expanded the team from two to seven stylists.
All of them are cut and colour stylists and Wella Specialists, with hair-loss treatments set to follow in 2025.
