When Hadi Javed was managing the Riverside Café in Wharfemeadows Park for four years, she had a dream — to open her own catering business.
Following a move to Back 9 Golf on Westgate, the stars began to align. First, she teamed up with former Riverside Café colleague Sakhib Shaikh, as they shared a similar dream. Then a food trailer came up for sale on a popular listings site, and the pair decided this was their chance.
A chat with Hadi’s Back 9 employers saw them offered a place in the parking lot, right by the exit from Manor Garth Park, and the pair got to work: menu planning, redesigning the trailer, and creating a pretty seating area outside their new permanent home.
Brewberry, Otley’s very own dessert trailer, was born in April 2026.
Now they offer fresh mini pancakes topped with fruit, giant cookies, ice cream, chips, and a range of coffees, all served in a lovely little setting that feels relaxed, welcoming and just a bit of a hidden treat. Whether people are coming out of the park, finishing a round at Back 9, or simply looking for somewhere different to grab something sweet, Brewberry has quickly become a cheerful new addition to Westgate.
Catering for larger parties is also available, making Brewberry a handy option for birthdays, family gatherings, events and celebrations where pancakes, cookies and ice cream are clearly a much better idea than another sad buffet sandwich.
