Rafferty's Café

Business of the Week, Cafés, pubs & restaurants

James Rafferty always wanted to work in catering as and started out working in what is now Rafferty’s Café on Wesley Street when he was just 13 years old.

Leaving school at 16, the former St Mary’s Menston student returned to work in the cafe for a year before taking over the lease himself in 2017.

Now one of Otley’s favourite ‘old-school’ cafés, James and the team serve traditional English breakfasts, hot and cold sandwiches, burgers, teas and coffees and snacks, all made to order.

James describes it as ‘café food like it was cooked 30-40 years ago’ and promises ‘great food at fair prices.’

Please note, Rafferty’s prefers cash for payments where possible.
