Parisian Chic

Alfresco food & drink, Business of the Week, Cafés, pubs & restaurants

Following a stint at the Lavender Tearooms in Bakewell, Gary Barrett has been offering a different take on a coffee shop since back in 2017 when he opened what went on to become Nostaliga tea rooms in Bay Horse Court.

In 2023, he moved across the court to open and run Parisian Chic, a tearoom that lives up to its name. Tables are dressed with linen, antiques and artworks line the walls, and there’s a lovely spiral iron staircase as a focal point by the entrance.

Teas, coffees cakes, sandwiches and homemade soups are all served on the finest China, while the courtyard location is perfect for Spring and Summer months, offering some lovely al fresco dining in a location tucked away from the surrounding bustle of the market town’s main streets.

The tearoom also offers antiques and artwork for sale.
